Big Cat Habitat Launches a $1 Dollar Drive for the Animals

Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary has launched a $1 dollar drive and they are hoping to make $1 million dollars from contributors worldwide. If you can afford $1 you could really help this facility and the animals. The money will go to the following:

  • $10,000 – Big Cat Toys for enrichment. See example of a boomer ball at Amazon.com.
  • $125,000 – Real restroom facilities visitors and staff. Currently they have two Porta Potties, but need better facilities for visitors.
  • $250,000 - A sterile animal clinic and nursery for younger animals
  • $240,000 – for 5 new full-time staff members. With this money they can also raise the pay of currently staff.
  • $25,000 – Educational materials for visitors and children visiting from local schools.
  • $350,000 – For new and larger animal habitats.
